Your Wedding Gown Care Guide

Before Your Wedding Day

Storing Your Gown

To keep your gown perfectly presented, maintain gentle tension on the hanger. Store it in a clean, quiet space, ideally on an over-the-door hook, away from pets and everyday activity.

Traveling with Your Gown

For a smooth journey, hang your gown on the driver-side hook and softly lay it across the back seat. If needed, loop the hanger around the headrest with care. Keeping It Pristine Keep your gown and veil inside the garment bag until the moment you are ready to dress. This ensures everything remains flawless for your walk down the aisle.

Getting Ready

Preparing Your Gown

We recommend having two trusted people assist you during this special moment. Remove the garment bag and gently review how the train is secured before unpinning.

Releasing the Train

If pinned to hanger straps, one person should support the fabric while the other carefully removes the pins. Once released, allow the train to fall naturally to the floor. If attached to a second hanger, lower it fully to the ground before unpinning to protect the fabric from tension.

Final Details

Remove any remaining pins at the bodice and gently lift your gown from the bust form. This is the perfect moment to capture your gown before you step into it.

Steaming Guidance

We recommend avoiding at-home steaming, as handheld steamers may leave marks on delicate fabrics.

If steaming is needed:

  • Use a new, high-quality steamer
  • Use distilled water only
  • Place a clean white cloth between the steamer and your gown
