While planning your wedding, it’s easy to become overwhelmed. The check-list appears to be a mile long and you don’t seem to have the time to tick off every box, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Everyone wants to have their own picture-perfect, fairytale wedding and there’s no reason why you can’t do it with ease! To help with the planning process, use these simple tips to keep it stress-free instead of stressful.

Plan Ahead

Make a list of everything you need to get done and when you need them done by. Planning out a timeline with all of your tasks and the dates they need to be completed will make it easy to organize everything. Even better, put it in a planner! We all have bad habits of writing things down here and there on whatever paper is on hand, and then completely forgetting about it or losing it. Invest in an organizer or planner that will keep all of your tasks, ideas and due dates in one place.

Ask for Help

You can assign some of the simpler tasks to the wedding party. You have a maid-of-honor, bridesmaids and groomsmen who have all signed on to be there with you every step of the way, take advantage of that! Yes, this means the traditional tasks, like bringing your girls to pick out the dress and recruiting the guys to plan the bachelor party but they can pitch in with much more! Have them plan for any wedding day emergencies, help with the registry, decide on a hair and make-up style, etc. These people are here to help so don’t be afraid to delegate tasks to them to make your life less stressful!

Don’t Second Guess Yourself

Trust your instinct and keep moving forward! You’re going to be bombarded with decisions, big and small from the venue to the registry. It’s true, planning a wedding can be difficult but brides can make it more difficult for themselves when they don’t stick to their original decisions. After you have checked something off the list, trust your gut and don’t look back! Coming back to it will only stress you out more in the long run.

Don’t Let Planning Take Over

Find balance. It’s important to set some time aside to just enjoy being engaged! Some brides become so consumed with planning the wedding that they forget to enjoy the little things. It's important to take a step back and enjoy the things you always do. Consider setting aside scheduled time to talk all things wedding, but also be sure to fit in time with your friends, family, fiance and self! So, plan brunch with the girls, date night with your fiance, lunch with the fam or a massage for yourself!

Treat Your Wedding Party

After months of strategic planning, you and your fiance have done it all and you’re exhausted! Now it’s time to enjoy the day that you’ve worked so hard for! But first things first, it’s time to thank the wedding party who has been there through it all. Give them a gift to say thank you for all of their help and dedication to making your day stress-free! Hand out a wine tumbler for the ladies and a koozie for the gents so everyone can be prepared for the reception of a lifetime! If you’re having a summer wedding, consider gifting everyone in your wedding party a pair of sunglasses so they can protect their eyes between photos ops. Whichever gift you choose, your wedding party will always think of you and your big day whenever they use it!

Following these tips can help make planning your wedding fun and enjoyable for everyone involved. Good luck!
